Late. Labh Janjua
Labh Janjua was an Indian Bhangra and hip hop singer and songwriter, best known for his bhangra song, “Mundian To Bach Ke”, which was remixed by Panjabi MC.
Janjua is originally from the city of Khanna, in the Ludhiana district of Punjab, India. He is currently a resident of Khanna City, where he learned music under a well-known local teacher, late Jaswant Bhanwra. He first shot to fame in 1999, with the song “Mundian To Bach Ke”, which was produced by Punjabi MC and was a huge hit. His Bollywood break appeared in 2007, in the movie Hattrick. Since then he has sung numerous songs in movies like Jai Ho, Dev.D, Singh is Kinng, Garam Masala, Dhol and Krazzy 4.
The Punjabi music industry and the world of Bollywood was left in a state of shock at the death of Labh Janjua at his Mumbai residence on 22nd October 2015. His passing sent shock waves across the Punjabi and Bollywood entertainment spectrum, with Labh Janjua having had one of the most iconic voices of our time.
